Ole Banning

I'm researching on radar-camera fusion for 3D object detection in autonomous driving, supervised by Philipp Wolters. In this research, I design radar-specific serialization curves and use them to train a frustum-based model for robust 3D object detection across diverse environmental conditions. This project concludes my studies.

I will receive a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

During winter 2023, I completed a machine learning internship at addData (now Dignify) in Brussels, where I designed, implemented, and validated Generative AI solutions for industry partners. I continued there as a working student until summer 2025.

My experience lies at the intersection of computer vision and machine learning, concerning mostly robotics. I'm especially interested in robot perception and 3D scene understanding through artificial intelligence.
